The Indian cricket team represents India at the international level in the game of cricket. It is controlled by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), under which the Indian team operates. The Indian team got Test status in 1931 since then, it has been one of the strongest teams under the ICC. The Indian team played its first Test match on 25 June 1932 against England at Lord's. India won its first World Cup in 1983, while in 2011, it won this title for the second time.
The Indian cricket team has two captains. Rohit Sharma leads the team in Test and ODI formats, while Suryakumar Yadav captains the team in the shortest format.

The Indian team played its first Test in 1932, its first ODI in 1974, and its first T20I in 2006. As of November 2024, India is the leading winning team in T20Is and follows Australia in ODIs. Governing Body
The Indian cricket team comes under the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). The BCCI joined the Imperial Cricket Conference which later became the International Cricket Council in 1926.India's domestic as well as International Cricket structure is managed by the BCCI which includes state cricket associations and other organizations. BCCI is a private organization, it does fall under the purview of the Indian government. At present, the President of BCCI is Roger Binny, who has also been a former Indian player, while the Secretary of BCCI is Jay Shah. The Indian Premier League organized by BCCI is one of the richest sporting competitions in the world. According to the Times of India, the BCCI is worth INR 18,760 crore.
The Indian Team Jersey
The Indian cricket team uses different jerseys in all three formats. In Test cricket, white clothes with blue stripes are used, and blue clothes with white stripes are used in ODIs. With respect to the T20 format, the blue and orange clothes with white stripes are used. The jersey of the Indian cricket team is exclusively designed by Adidas.
