Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani continue to be the most searched baseball players as their record-breaking stats every season have led people to search them on StatMuse, which hosts a database of sports statistics.

The company revealed the trend for search of baseball players on their website, and, unsurprisingly, the Yankees captain topped that list followed by Shohei Ohtani, Juan Soto, Elly De La Cruz and Barry Bonds.

All these individuals have made great strides in their careers in 2024, with the exception being Bonds, whose legendary resume, continues to be searched by people to date.

What Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Juan Soto and Elly De La Cruz did to lead people to search them?

All the above mentioned individuals had seasons to remember. Starting with Aaron Judge, it was another year where he looked as baseball's best hitter. He led the majors with 58 home runs, leading the Yankees to their first World Series trip since 2009.

However, he also attracted negative attention for his poor stats in the 2024 postseason, as his Yankees fell short of winning the Fall Classic against the Dodgers. Nonetheless, he was awarded the unanimous AL MVP for his regular-season heroics.

Meanwhile, no introduction is needed for the Dodgers' $700 million signee, Shohei Ohtani. The two way star, who played solely as DH, as he was rehabbing from a shoulder injury, put on a historic season, becoming the first player to break the 50-50 barrier, wrapping up the regular season with 54 home runs and 58 stolen bases.

He continued the onslaught in his maiden postseason as well, culminating in his first World Series title. What makes it even more impressive that despite an injury in Game 2, the Japanese phenom played through it, earning praise from fans. He was awarded his third MVP, a unanimous NL MVP honor.

Juan Soto, who bagged a record-breaking 15-year, $765 million deal from the Mets as a free agent, started the year getting traded from the San Deigo Padres to the New York Yankees. He had a career year, batting .288/.419/.569 with 41 home runs, 109 RBIs, and 129 walks (second in majors). His fearsome hitting alongside Aaron Judge was a spectacle in the Bronx, coming third in AL MVP voting.

Last but not the least, Cincinnati Reds infielder Elly De La Cruz, had a career year, too. He led the majors with 67 stolen bases while also hitting .259 along with 25 home runs and 76 RBIs.
